Five Creators Shaping Modern Miami
A photographer, a ceramicist, a chef, a coach and a gardener walk into a city.

The people changing how Miami looks are mostly not in fashion.
Elena Vargas photographs the city before it dresses for anybody. Ana Lindqvist makes objects intended to outlast the trend that sells them. Julian Moreau seats strangers together and calls it dinner. Marcus Reid teaches people to move slowly in the fastest part of the day.
The fifth is a gardener in Allapattah who has been giving away cuttings for eleven years and would rather not be named. Between them they describe a city with far more patience than its reputation allows.
